Today I post the last chapter of my ONC story, Cloudfall. As my first foray into the world of science-fiction, it was an incredibly rewarding experience. If you decide to give it a chance, I'd love to hear your thoughts. 
          
          I do think there is more meat on the bone, so in the meantime, I'll dive back into Allis's story.

I decided to try my hand at the Open Novella Contest this year with an attempt at Science Fiction. If you've read my other stories, this is quite the departure from those sad, introspective novellas about people walking around on the ground. This one is set floating thousands of feet above the surface!

When I started my writing journey, I used a placeholder title for my project: The Owl. It never felt like it was the right name. It was fine but the owl was never the point of the story. Regardless, I was never able to come up with some thing better so The Owl stuck. I think I finally came up with something better!
          
          Now that the Amby's are over and The Owl was lucky enough to be named as a favorite, it is time to roll out the new title and cover.

When the Pink Literary Society decided to do an anthology of short stories for the holiday season, I was thrilled! Shorter stories are where I have had the most success in crafting a story before. Despite my best intentions, it is more of a novella than a short story. But I finished it in under a month something of which I am quite proud! 
          
          It is a story about a community rallying to support someone who has been screwed by the system. In a time where community has never been more important, I really had fun putting this together. If it sounds at all interesting to you, I'd love to hear your thought!
