Hello! My surgery went well, but the recovery isn't going as smoothly. I guarantee I'll start writing regularly again in two weeks, though. Sorry!

I needed to change so many things in my books due to concerns brought up by others that I had to skip this week's update.

In two days, I'm having major surgery, so I don't think I'll be able to write for a while.

I'm truly sorry to the few of you who read my work.

          I'm doing my best.

Dyurne

I had to change a few things in my books.

**The Hundredth Day:** Past Enea and Valentina are no longer 19. It made people uncomfortable that they could end up dating 16-year-olds.

**The Architect of Magic:** I thought I had made it clear before, but I made it even clearer that Virgil doesn't have romantic feelings for his sister.

**A Second Chance:** The whole beginning was too violent toward Maia. Almost gratuitously so. Forgive my edgelord self, it was my first book.

That's it. Sorry for the notification!

Scarlett_Fox-

For some reason, every time I try to respond to one of your comments today, it fails to post. Thank you for taking the time to respond back to my questions. I wish I could respond back properly.

Dyurne

@Scarlett_Fox- Oh, its the new wattpad's policy. I don't know how long it will last and it doesn't work all the time, it was their response to slow spamming bots.
You can't tag people that don't follow you unless they're commenting your story.
            Don't worry, it's my pleasure.

I have a question for you or maybe a little bit of a collaboration on a chapter.
I noticed there is dwarven lore within your book. I want to bring in a certain dwarven element to a culture, but I'm kind of ignorant on how I would do that other than very surface level, Lord of the rings type things which are probably very stereotypical and overplayed at this point.

Here's the thought, outside of the orbit of the Galilean moons around Jupiter, there's a moon called Themisto, it's millions of kilometers in either direction from its nearest neighbors and its nearest neighbors are the moons you would most want to colonize on one side and on the other side the only moons in the system that have mineable ore.

So the Jovian people would like to turn the moon into a large false moon complex that is both foundry and shipyard.

I have already started them on this project and I've advanced time for 5 years to allow them to make their way to an almost completed space station type situation, but also to allow a little bit of a mining culture to develop.

Also, I imagine for logistical reasons that these are very likely geomancers.

They may also potentially be a cast of Angel known as Kerub (they're about 3 to 4 ft tall and have four wings distributed across their body, they're very good at dispersing heat and hovering like a hummingbird, but they're also typically able to discharge a large amount of chi at one time and have a tendency towards being better geomancers or serving on ships as a sort of additional capacitor system).

JackieFoxWrites

@JackieFoxWrites Yeah you see what you mean as it seems like one of the key components is being non-magical.

But I feel like even the basic lore could be made interesting within this framework, maybe even as a contrast.

So let's say that we have minors who aren't physically as adapted for geomancy as the Kerub, but they have become diligent workers and they have developed a culture that is proud of the fact that they don't need magic to shape steel.

Angelic geomancers tend to create things that feel like they're grown very organic because they're subtly reshaping the metal with intention.

It would probably look very different than hand-shaped metal and that might give our dwarven parallel characters an opportunity to excel in a different way that is more physically taxing perhaps leading to stronger bodies but also allows them to compete with magic users

@JackieFoxWrites Truth is, mine are pretty standard fantasy dwarves (just no internal mana, but they build magical things). They probably won’t map super well onto your Kerub angel miners on Themisto. But your concept with the isolated moon, geomancy, and four-winged heat-dispersing angels sounds dope on its own. Maybe lean into the angel side more than trying to force a dwarven feel?

Hey! I just wanted to thank you again! Your tips were truly great, and I was able to implement many of them right away. So really, thank you again! I’m very happy that you read my story and helped me improve.

_Rainy_Days

Absolutely not! I love exactly this kind of feedback — it’s something I can truly work with. Of course you’re happy about every comment because you just want your story to be read, but something this useful and honest is simply wonderful. I kept improving things throughout the day. The lines you commented on were incredibly helpful. I noticed it immediately and was able to change so many things right away. So hate you? Never! :D I LOVE YOU for that.
