What you can expect from my romances

My stories may take place anywhere-from contemporary Europe to fantasy kingdoms, dystopian futures and worlds where magic exists-but the romances share a few things:

1. Slow-burn, adult romance.
My protagonists are established adults, usually in their thirties or forties. They aren't looking for love, and some actively avoid it.

2. Romance drives the story.
The relationship isn't decoration or a subplot. It is at the heart of the story, and without the romance, there is no story.

3. Intimacy comes before emotional certainty.
Physical intimacy can happen long before the characters understand what they feel. Sex isn't the reward at the end of the romance-it is part of how the characters discover themselves and each other.

4. Love reveals; it doesn't erase.
Falling in love doesn't magically fix my protagonists or make them abandon their lives, ambitions, families or identities. Instead, love reveals things about themselves they didn't know-or weren't ready to acknowledge.

5. Partnership, not possession.
My couples don't have to get married, have children, or sacrifice everything for each other. Their happily-ever-after may simply be two people choosing to build a strong life together.

6. Diverse people, diverse worlds.
LGBTQIA+ characters, different ethnicities, body types, ages and life experiences naturally belong in my stories. Diversity isn't a plot requirement; people simply exist. Sometimes it profoundly shapes a character's life, and sometimes it doesn't-and that's okay.
