/ pretend i didn’t log in but thinking about how the “leaders” of imperium (emphasis on the “”) are actually in need of the members more than the members are in need of them yet the message to the imperium member is “you need US”. desperation and the lack of awareness increases one’s likelihood of believing in these figures with the outstretched hand and the smiling face because what else do they know? the power of belief is such a strong thing here, because these leaders rely on their members’ belief in them in order to further their own power, influence, and agenda under the guise of doing so for the sake of their members or for the sake of creating a new world. in order for a leader to be a leader they NEED followers, they need to be believed in but once that belief is challenged we see their command start to become wavering and unsteady. when there is a shift in imperium, or something that comes out of order (aka, the literal force that is reagan delacroix) and challenges them, and says “i don’t believe in you” it’s a huge fucking threat because that shows our sheep are beginning to realize that they are in the herd. all in all, the power of belief and using other peoples’ desperation / unawarenesses as a tool to climb up the ladder is very important. once people start to become aware and look those people in the eye and say i don’t believe in you problems begin to arise- these figures’ shadows only make them bigger than what they actually are.
