Bit of trivia: the monster in Depths was inspired by a real animal called an oarfish.
In the new Animal Crossing game, you can catch an oarfish of your own. I was inordinately hyped to find this out.

Well, I finally posted a chapter banner that actually shows Drika's face. Spent way too long combining source photos, drawing in new parts, and trying to get her to look like an actual human. You guys will have to let me know if you think I pulled it off. :P
Serious respect for the artists here on Wattpad who make so many people-centric graphics while retaining their sanity.
New part of Dreams of Scale and Bone just posted! I also combined the last of the shorter parts, so now all the story parts should be roughly the same length.
I ended up rewriting this new part several times because it wasn't flowing the way I wanted it to, but I think I'm happy with how it finally came out. :) I hope you guys enjoy it!
If you're keeping up with Dreams of Scale and Bone, you may notice that it's just undergone some reformatting. After much deliberation, I've decided to condense the chapters into fewer parts.
Going forward, this means I may post less often, although the posts will be longer in terms of word count. (It also means I'll be mourning all of your comments that got eaten into the void. T-T Seriously, a lot of you guys are too sweet.)
I'm aiming to update at least once a week, so don't worry about me disappearing or anything. :)
@inkwellheart Same. I'm sure there's at least some people confused about why I keep liking their posts, haha, but there's been a lot of good questions and the answers have been enlightening.

Just finished the banner image for Chapter 22 and it's... a little over the top. I was feeling extra artsy, ok? Sometimes you're just in the mood to create a bird majestically popping out of some rainbow barf. Forgive me.
Hey! Just a suggestion; I'd really like it if you moved the bonus chapters in Dreams of Scale and Bone to where they were before because now, Wattpad keeps saying I haven't read like half the book. Again, just a suggestion :)
@no-fart-jokes Hey, thanks for the suggestion! I felt like having them at the end would be less confusing for new readers, but I know that makes new parts kinda awkward to find and can throw off the progress meter thing. Since what you mentioned confirms that awkwardness, I think I'll move them back until the whole story's finished. Thanks again!
