Okay so uhm I’ve been randomly obsessing over SaiOuma again (and trying to edit but gave up for today-) but here’s a little smth I randomly thought of:
          
          Spoiler warnings for Danganronpa V3 chapter 5 and TW Sayori:
          
          Kokichi has started to grow feelings towards Shuichi through the killing game, but died before he could tell them. His final thoughts were about his regrets, and how much he still could’ve done. Meanwhile, Shuichi is trying to solve the mystery, worried about Kaito. He never felt anything towards Kokichi, only confusion and slight annoyance/anger. The one he has been thinking about since the beginning has been and always will be Kaede. Kaito still regrets helping Kokichi with his plan, and till his last moments, he thought about everyone he could’ve saved, including Kokichi. He did die with a smile, knowing he atleast saved his two best friends. Shuichi couldn’t get up after the fifth trial, thinking he could’ve done something to save them all. He then realizes how much he actually misses Kokichi, due to the way he filled his life. He (canonically) was thinking about suicide, until Maki basically forced him to hang out with the survivors, as she thinks they should move on.
