"Commit your activities to the Lord , and your plans will be achieved."
          	 ~Proverbs 16:3 HCSB

I read a day in the open heaven's devotional last year and it was about committing our activities to God. Daddy Adeboye let's us know in that devotional that we can't be halfway in a goal or a plan and involve God, from the very beginning if we don't give everything to Him and tell Him to take control, we're basically telling God that we can do it by ourselves and we don't need His help..... Which is a lie, a huge one!

James in James4 tells us that we make all these plans of days, weeks, months and even years ahead... When we'renot certain of the next minute, or if we may see the next day:
"Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will travel to such and such a city and spend a year there and do business and make a profit.” You don’t even know what tomorrow will bring — what your life will be! For you are like smoke that appears for a little while, then vanishes."
 (James 4:13‭-‬14, HCSB)

And he then tells us the correct way to say it...
"Instead, you should say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” But as it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. So it is a sin for the person who knows to do what is good and doesn’t do it."
(James 4:15‭-‬17, HCSB). (1/2)

@Eddie0607 As we say that, we should also learn to commit our activities to God's hands from the very onset, God has seen the end from before the beginning because even before the beginning began He was there already.

Committing your plans to God shows your humility to accept that you can't do it on your own, you show you're ready to submit to His power and you want Him to walk with you through this.

A lot of us are getting ready to return to school, on our way or some are already in school, before you start any plans for this semester, give it to God, make sure you are being conscious in your choice
And put Him first as you start the new month month.... Above EVERYTHING

Happy New month everyone!! I pray this month will be great for you in Jesus name amen. Jesus loves you ❤️(2/2)

Found a piece of the last scene in the second book of a serie I was writing when I was 14 and I just swooned in how well I could feel the emotions going on in that scene.... I considered my work childishly but now I see perfection in the making

Sadly I remembered I threw out the book last weekend but I'll still try to recreate as much as I can but the struggle with it is that, things are quite different from when I was 14 and I'm really holding my imaginations backs... trying to let the creativity flow and also portray a very relatable and realistic story

"Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint." (Isaiah 40:30‭-‬31 NKJV)

I was doing a quick Bible study this evening on this chapter and although I haven't finished it yet, I made sure to read the chapter fully and as I re read it and got to this verse, it gave me a mix of amazement and glee. I was amazed by knowing the fact that God already knew we're bound to get tired because we seem like the only ones running against the wind which is the society, He knew this. This goes to show me how much I misunderstand Him and belittle Him, He understands my struggle more than myself.

It's written that the young men shall utterly fall, I did in this previous week.... lemme tell you that for a fact. A lot of us as teens and pre teens and young adults will fall, it's part of the process, it's gonna happen because we aren't perfect amd the only perfect person is Jesus. But God says that only those who wait in the Lord, only those who in their weakness, who have just a little resolve to hold fort shall be strengthened. Only those who look up to Him He shall renew.

@Eddie0607 We may not get it as we're supposed to, but not giving up is the part God wants to see. I wasn't doing things well, I gave into my desires and watched TV and binge social media instead of choosing but at a point, I'd still find myself trying to pray to God, still hearing words of discipline even though I chose not to do nothing on it and not that I'm saying that this is a right way or I'm patting myself on the back, but not willing to let go of the few truths I could remember and the struggle to still want to understand is holding onto the Lord.

And I will, you will, we as teens will continue to fall in an aspect or in just the race, we'll fall weak and grow tired, but we're encouraged to hold onto God to be renewed..... it's a journey. Happy new week

If you guys have been watching the global news if you aren't African, you'll see that Nigeria is under a lot of pain rn..... please pray for us, that the bloodshed won't go unpunished and justice will be served, we serve a God who is omnipotent and omnipresent, a faithful judge and a loving father..... Pray that we find the justice which we seek and our efforts for a new Nigeria won't be in vain im Jesus name amen
          God bless Nigeria #endpolicebrutalityinnigeria #endsars #endbadgovernance #prayfornigeria

Okay now I know that I'm not learning anything about spiritual discipline...... gosh!

Storie_Hunter

@Eddie0607 She means that you are comparing your relationship with Christ to others. You want your journey with Him a certain way, and you need to let it go. I love God with everything I have but trust me when I say I don't know a whole lot about Him.
