          	Song: Fix You- Coldplay

          	*****************************************************

          	***Kylie***

The sound rang through my ears, resonating throughout my head. The beat was fast, the voice loud. It was one of the few songs that weren’t slow and I had gone out of my way to find every single one of them. The music was so loud that it drowned out every thought that came to mind, making sure my mind was as far away from the situation as possible. I didn’t need to think about the fact that Niall was gone.

I cranked it up another notch, as the picture of his face came to mind. The image of him, those eyes begging me as he walked towards the man that had demanded he come with him. There was so much fear there, those blue-grey eyes still haunting me now, almost an hour later. That was why the music was necessary.

It would work for a little while. I would lay on the mattress, my eyes closed, my iPod on. And for a couple of songs, I could focus on the words, on the lyrics. I could pretend that I wasn’t trapped in these cement walls. I could pretend I was at home, lying on my bed, just passing the time. But eventually I would start to drown out the music, my mind taking over and that face would come back. My eyes would open and I would stare at that single, dull light bulb above my head. Tears would rush to my eyes at the thought of him defenseless somewhere while I was stuck here, alone.

Fear would fill me at the thought of him not coming back.

So I would turn my music up a notch louder, and the process would begin again.

I had stopped caring about how much of my battery I was wasting. This was the kind of situation I had been saving it for. Though I was sure there would be worse, I knew that I wouldn’t be able to handle this without something to calm me. Whatever help I could get was welcome now, eve..." http://wattpad.com/story/1488731
