I was once a great-grandson. I was once a grandson, and I was once a son. Therefore I am blessed; blessed to have had the privilege of three generations of love and teachings which have helped to form the person into whom I am evolving The person I am now loves life, the world in which we live, and the people I encounter every day. I have made it this far because I am fortunate to have had people who have cared about me and where I am going. Therefore, I shall do the same for anyone I can. I have found that being a friend is a lot easier than being an enemy. I have found that loving people is less stressful than hating them. So, when I write, I write from that good place in my heart and soul. This does not mean that I only write about roses. It means that if I tell one about how wonderful roses are I must also tell them about how painful the thorns are. Yes, I love the entertainment aspect of writing. I love giving life and history to characters who may never have existed. Yes, I love helping my readers to get to know these characters on levels more personal than one can know an actual person. However, writing is a blessed voice given to those who put pen to pad, so it must not be wasted. I want my voice to be useful so I entertain, but not at the cost of usefulness. I am not a teacher, but I am a sharer of my thoughts, experiences, perspectives, and more. One of my greatest fears is that I waste my reader's time therefore my every effort goes into not allowing that to happen. I want my readers to walk in my scenes, to smell the air of my scenes, to mentally feel the texture of my scenes, and to know my characters. I want my readers to leave my stories having experienced a spectrum of emotions, but ultimately satisfaction and reflection.
So, I am also a father and a simple man. But, one day I would like to be called a writer.
