Ever since I can remember I've been telling stories, in fact, even before I was able to put pen to paper. I've written in many genres over the past few years, but as of now, I believe I've found my 'writing' home with gripping, emotional driven family dramas. 

I had become fascinated with people and the extraordinary lives they sometimes lead, while working for my college newspaper (in 2012) and eventually, because of such work, I became an award-winning reporter and features writer. 

I decided to try my hand at fiction because no one else (section editor nor newspaper publisher) could tell me what I should write and what I shouldn't. Doing this, being a real-life author, gives me total creative freedom to explore every human emotion, dive into any social issue, and maybe even touch the broken places in one of you (my dear reader friends). 

I am a firm believer that there's true beauty in that which is broken, contrary to popular belief. I understand, that in the process of offering a hand, working with one another to piece together their hearts, minds, spirits, even their lives-you find that what you help to build together from the broken pieces, is often more beautiful than what was there to begin with. 

This is why I write the stories I do, (not for the sake of just telling a story or to entertain) not to keep anyone shrouded in darkness, but to encourage and bring them light; hope. Hope that no matter how dismal the night, that the promise of morning will indeed come and chase all the shadows away.
