Our Golden Summers is now fully edited. I fixed a lot and am happier with the result. Still feel like there's things I can change but I'll leave that for a future date. I've found leaving a project and coming back to it much later gives you a fresh set of eyes. You're not as sacred and you feel more free to cut and change things.

Which means it's now on to seriously writing the sequel. I think I will wait until at least a handful of chapters are done before I post, so there's a good chunk to read. Expect that this year. Don't want to give a date. But I'm excited.

I hope there's an audience for it. At the very least, I'll like it. You have to create for yourself. Getting lots of attention is just a bonus.

          	Until next time. :)

Progress is going slow but surely with Our Golden Summers. Previously known as The Forest in His Eyes. I'm hoping with a rebrand, a new cover and title, more attention will be drawn to the book. I am so so proud of that book and I would love if that story found new readers. I was convinced a big reason it didn't have much traction was my poor book-cover skills. Shy of hiring an artist (which I would 100% when pressing ahead with a published novel) I have been using free image sites and Canva to make my recent covers. There is the common saying of don't judge a book by its cover but to some extent a cover does go a long way to drawing people in.

As for the name change, a big theme in that novel is nostalgia for a more innocent time, before adulthood brings with it pain and challenges. Ansel is often reflecting on his teen summers before everything in his life changed so I thought it would be a nice fit. And hopefully also have an impact. I did love the previous title but I will wait and watch to see if this story gets more love.

Anyway, that's all for now. I'm halfway through editing Our Golden Summers and then I'll need to do some more research before jumping into the sequel. :)

It's been a looooong hiatus. So much in my life has changed and my passion for writing just dwindled. I wasn't inspired anymore. I still read books but my ambition to be a writer was put to the side.

That shift in my life also meant that I barely ever came back here. I'd check maybe twice a year and be overwhelmed with hundreds of notifications. People in my life asked whether I was still writing and I just said I put it aside and focused on my job and social life.

I sometimes had the urge to go back and continue my stories or edit older ones but then I just didn't have that old fire I used to.

Until recently. I saw someone talking about their story on Wattpad and I was reading a bit and it just flooded me with memories. So here I am, intent to get back into writing. I'm gonna start by reading/editing old works, particularly Ansel's book as I gear up to write his sequel. I don't imagine I'll be super active but I don't want to let the flame die.

I'm gonna give you the ending you deserve, Ansel. ❤️

@Cherrybomb_17 Thank you so much for the words of support. I don't know if I'd have any of these books published, as much as I love them. A lot of them feel very vulnerable but if I did, I would definitely have to go over and edit them like crazy to try and shape it to something else. As they are here, I love them and they are what I wanted to write.

And on a side note, some of my boys have been published in a short story in a magazine so they live out there in print. :) Never say never to these stories going paperback but I love the worlds and characters I've written and I want to keep at it here. :)

Gaaaaaawsh! Read Wild Hearts, then just finished reading Autumn Leaves!!! Ugghh! My heart! I love them!!❤️ Will read more, just gotta know if they're meant to be read in an order? Like which ones come before W.H. Or in between that one and A.L.? Which ones are like the most significant and which are more like side stories or whatnot!?! See, most of of the time I like to read stories(that are a series or part of a series) in order cause if I don't I get all mixed up in the timelines ya know!?! Crazy, but it happens! Haha! Anyway, already commented on W.H. But again, that one along with A.L!......sooooooooooooooooooo friggin amazing!! Truly love these stories!! For real! Great job auth!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️5 rounds of applause!!!!!

First off, a huge thanks. Means a lot you not only enjoyed my works, but also took the time to comment ❤️❤️. Sorry I took so long to get back to you, I have been on a Wattpad hiatus for a while but I do want to get back into regularly checking.

So the order is kind of in my bio. All the books are in the same universe but they can be read standalone. ‘To the Beat of my Heart’ is a sequel to ‘Finding the Pure Note’ but if you wanted to read all the books, the order in my bio is a safe bet.

If you wanted chronologically for all books, though it definitely doesn’t have to or need to be read in this way, it would be: ‘Finding the Pure Note’, then ‘In Hell We Dance’, ‘Wild Hearts’ (these two are like companion books, the light and the dark, though IHWD is very adult and mature. Depraved as well. Not your cup of tea? Skip it.

Then ‘The Forest in His Eyes’, ‘Autumn Leaves’, and finally ‘To The Beat of My Heart.’

‘Outcasts’ is a short story anthology collection which jumps all over my timeline but I would recommend reading after the other books. It features four stories from four of my characters and if you would like to slot them in a timeline order, just let me know.

That should just about cover it. :)

Wow, last update was January, huh. XD

So life gets in the way. The werewolf story has been simmering away in the back of my mind these past couple of months. I've been writing down bits and doing some research. Every time I've felt like sitting down to try and properly write this thing, I get daunted. But I definitely am serious about this story. These characters I already love in my head and they are not even fully fleshed out yet. :D

I think I'll drop the first couple of chapters when I write them so there isn't a huge wait for the beginning of the story. And hopefully, that means people are really keen to keep reading. The title is there and cover. I just need to pull together a couple more threads and then I'm leaping right into this.

Thanks to the handful out there who actually read my stuff for your patience. <3

Hey, it's been a hot minute since I last updated. For those who might be curious, I last said I planned to work on a werewolf story. I took the holiday break away from writing and wasn't sure when I'd return. Recently, I didn't have much in the way of inspiration for this new story. Considered just writing Ansel's second book but then I had one of those nights where a flurry of ideas came into my head and I had to grab my phone and hastily write them down in the dark, eyes squinting. Otherwise, I knew I'd forget in the morning.

I've had a lot of fun today fleshing out the characters and some of the plot. Probably won't update here again: I'll just drop the story. All I can say for now, and my plans do change (I mean, Ansel's book was 'supposed' to be one short novella. Now it's two novels) is this werewolf story is a short(ish) novel. With the potential for a sequel/series.

I have a tentative title. And I can reveal the book will have two protagonists: Louis, the human, and Sebastian, or Seb, the werewolf. Joining them is a diverse cast. Can't wait for you guys to see! <3

Thanks for your patience. Will probably get two or three chapters written before I post. Looking forward to it! :)

Just wanted to drop here that I FINISHED The Forest in His Eyes, Ansel's solo book. Except, his story isn't over. His sequel (tentative release date, late 2022/early 2023), will cover the events of To the Beat of My Heart, and after.

For now, it's time to start plotting my werewolf story. Feeling inspired and ready to tackle a new genre, one that's meant a lot to me growing up. Supernatural, with a dash of romance. Gay, of course.

          PUMPED! :)
