So many announcements lately- sorry! A lot is happening as I go back and forth on my works.

For any of you who read VII, I have some news! I'm finally finishing it! A year later, not too bad, right?

I've published two chapters, and two remain: one final chapter and an epilogue. It really is ending, finally. I can be free from the guilt that I imposed on myself.

I'm actually proud of myself for not abandoning it. It's not the best thing I've written, but it was and always will be my first child.
Everyone knows first children are always a little kooky (I would know, I am one myself).

Thank you to whoever decides to check out the story. Belated apologies to those of you who have been waiting for it for this long. I hope you enjoy it!

(PS: should I also enter this into the Wattys? Decisions, decisions...)

Chapter 17 of The Night Library II- Unraveling is now up, and with it I bring news: this story is going on a short hiatus.

The reason is simple: I am not happy with how empty it feels. I'm currently working on editing the chapters I've already written, but the main reason it's on hiatus is that it is missing a major plot arc that I somehow just... forgot?

Anyway, this won't take very long. I hope to have everything ready to start publishing again by September at the latest. I technically have the ending sequence all written and ready, but something was missing between the point we stopped at in chapter 17 and the events that bring about the end of the story.

The new parts will be very Lucien-heavy; the focus will be on his lore and his current trials and tribulations, and where Isla comes in to make it all better.
It will probably be pretty dramatic.

As always, thank you to everyone who's been part of this journey, and to everyone who will join at some point.

I look forward to sharing the continued story of Isla and Lucien and their battles with themselves and the evil entities around them.

Take your time !! Giving your self time will only make the book even better and the lore expansion for Lucien will only give us the readers more food ahahah

The Wattys are open!
Which means I will finally take the leap and enter some of my stories into the running.

          Am I scared? Yes.
          Will that stop me? No.

So, the plan is to enter The Night Library I- Unfolding into the Wattys since it can be read as a standalone. I keep going back and forth on attempting to edit it, but I think I'll leave it as it is and hope for the best.

Now, something I am less certain about: expanding A Soul Etched in Flame into a novel and entering that, too.
          Thoughts?

Honestly, that was the plan since I entered it into the ONC. I have no real reason to change that plan other than cowardice, really... and maybe also laziness since it needs quite a bit of work and I'm still in the TNL II trenches.

Anyway, consider this a Wattys entry notification. TNL I will definitely be there. ASEiF is still a bit shy, but she will probably enter too. Maybe she needs a bit of encouragement.

I wish you all the best I would love to read Souls Etched in flame as a novel, you can add more information about the world and the characters and not being as limited !!

The Night Library II- Unraveling is officially live.

After everything that was gained and lost in Book I… the story isn’t over.

New chapters will begin publishing starting now.

The schedule will be like the first book- once weekly, sometimes more than once, depending on my mood.

Thank you to everyone who read Book I, and to those who are sticking with me for Book II- it truly means so much

As ONC 2026 comes to an end (in terms of submission, at least), I look back at the person I was before I joined with jealousy.
She was a lot more confident than she is now.

This isn't to say I didn't enjoy writing my entry for the contest- I did, but it was a completely different style from my usual, and it took a lot of effort to stick to the upper word limit.

But no matter- it's done now, submitted and ready for critique.

Regardless of the outcome, it was a generous learning experience. I'll probably stick to overly wordy third person limited POVs for now, but I do look forward to the next time I decide to experiment with fast-paced first person POV... In the distant future perhaps.

With that being said, if you choose to check out A Soul Etched in Flame now that it's complete (for now?), please do let me know what you truly think- I am in desperate need of (constructive) criticism.

As always, I am forever grateful to everyone who checks out my stories, even silent readers- I myself was one, after all.

          Thank you for reading!

It is with great pleasure (and apprehension, perhaps) to announce that I have officially concluded Book I of The Night Library.

Initially, I had intended it to be one- slightly too long- book. But after the ideas refused to stop flowing, and in an attempt to make it less intimidating, I decided to split it into two books.

          Yes, a duology.

The books cannot be read separately, Book II will pick up right after Book I and will be closely tied to the story.

I have almost 85% of Book II written, but I will start publishing it in May- I need the time until then to focus on my ONC entry.

For those who read Book I- I thank you once again for sticking with me on this (still unfinished) journey. I hope you stick around for Book II- lots more exciting things are in store for our Lucien and Isla.

In the meantime, maybe you'd like to check out A Soul Etched in Flame, my ONC entry. It's a lot lighter than TNL, and kinda silly too- it doesn't take itself too seriously and I'm having a lot of fun writing it.

          Thank you for reading!

I've just submitted my story, A Soul Etched in Flame, for round two of ONC 2026. I remain super excited about this little story and the contest- I really hope I make it to the third (and final!) round.

If you have the time to check the story out (it has a dragon!) and let me know what you think, I would be beyond grateful!

Aside from this, and as always, TNL will be updated this week as usual. Considering a double update, too!

For my regular readers, thank you so much. Even the silent ones (though I love feedback, all kinds, pls tell me your thoughts), I appreciate you all.

✨ Announcement ✨

After a lot of back and forth with myself, I've decided to join the Open Novella Contest. This will be the first time I do something like this, so I'm really excited and also a little nervous.

The title is A Soul Etched in Flame, and it follows Maera Wyld, a witch who is not as powerful as she should be, as she breaks rules and enters a forbidden forest to rescue something- or someone, rather- she never expected.
It will be a lot shorter and faster-paced than my other books as this is a novella, and I've decided to experiment with a slightly different writing style, but I think it still retains some of my more dramatic inclinations.

If you choose to check it out and let me know what you think, I will be very grateful.

Also, if you're following my other story, The Night Library, don't worry about this new story taking over. I have so many chapters of TNL written and will be updating it at the same rate.

          Thank you for reading!
