As ONC 2026 comes to an end (in terms of submission, at least), I look back at the person I was before I joined with jealousy.
She was a lot more confident than she is now.

This isn't to say I didn't enjoy writing my entry for the contest- I did, but it was a completely different style from my usual, and it took a lot of effort to stick to the upper word limit.

But no matter- it's done now, submitted and ready for critique.

Regardless of the outcome, it was a generous learning experience. I'll probably stick to overly wordy third person limited POVs for now, but I do look forward to the next time I decide to experiment with fast-paced first person POV... In the distant future perhaps.

With that being said, if you choose to check out A Soul Etched in Flame now that it's complete (for now?), please do let me know what you truly think- I am in desperate need of (constructive) criticism.

As always, I am forever grateful to everyone who checks out my stories, even silent readers- I myself was one, after all.

          	Thank you for reading!

It is with great pleasure (and apprehension, perhaps) to announce that I have officially concluded Book I of The Night Library.

Initially, I had intended it to be one- slightly too long- book. But after the ideas refused to stop flowing, and in an attempt to make it less intimidating, I decided to split it into two books.

          Yes, a duology.

The books cannot be read separately, Book II will pick up right after Book I and will be closely tied to the story.

I have almost 85% of Book II written, but I will start publishing it in May- I need the time until then to focus on my ONC entry.

For those who read Book I- I thank you once again for sticking with me on this (still unfinished) journey. I hope you stick around for Book II- lots more exciting things are in store for our Lucien and Isla.

In the meantime, maybe you'd like to check out A Soul Etched in Flame, my ONC entry. It's a lot lighter than TNL, and kinda silly too- it doesn't take itself too seriously and I'm having a lot of fun writing it.

          Thank you for reading!

I've just submitted my story, A Soul Etched in Flame, for round two of ONC 2026. I remain super excited about this little story and the contest- I really hope I make it to the third (and final!) round.

If you have the time to check the story out (it has a dragon!) and let me know what you think, I would be beyond grateful!

Aside from this, and as always, TNL will be updated this week as usual. Considering a double update, too!

For my regular readers, thank you so much. Even the silent ones (though I love feedback, all kinds, pls tell me your thoughts), I appreciate you all.

✨ Announcement ✨

After a lot of back and forth with myself, I've decided to join the Open Novella Contest. This will be the first time I do something like this, so I'm really excited and also a little nervous.

The title is A Soul Etched in Flame, and it follows Maera Wyld, a witch who is not as powerful as she should be, as she breaks rules and enters a forbidden forest to rescue something- or someone, rather- she never expected.
It will be a lot shorter and faster-paced than my other books as this is a novella, and I've decided to experiment with a slightly different writing style, but I think it still retains some of my more dramatic inclinations.

If you choose to check it out and let me know what you think, I will be very grateful.

Also, if you're following my other story, The Night Library, don't worry about this new story taking over. I have so many chapters of TNL written and will be updating it at the same rate.

          Thank you for reading!

✨ Announcement ✨

I’m excited to finally say it: I’ll be officially starting to publish my new story, The Night Library.

This one has been growing in the back of my mind for a few months now, and I can’t wait to share it with you. It’s filled with ancient secrets, quiet tension, and my own personal take on vampires (because honestly, I love them too much not to).

To kick things off, I’ll be posting the first three chapters today to give you a taste of the story and hopefully pull you into the world right away.

For anyone still following VII- Her Last Life, don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten it! I only have a few chapters left, and I’ll be updating it soon. I promise I’ll see it through to the end.

As always, thank you so much for reading, supporting, and being here with me. It truly means everything.

Now let’s step into the Library together!
