I have an announcement to make. I've lost my passion for writing. I used to enjoy it but after a while, it just got repetitive and draining - it felt like just another essay I had to write. It became work rather than fun. Also, I have been working on finishing and releasing my first commercial game; game development for me is far more satisfying, plus I also have a financial incentive to work hard and regularly.

I'm not saying that I'm quitting writing altogether. Maybe someday, I'll come back to it. But, I tell you this, my love for telling stories has not diminished, it's just the process of getting it down that's worn off on me. Another writer had the same trouble - I forget his name - but he said, "Every word was like tearing the flesh from his body." Furthermore, it feels much more satisfying to tell stories through games and see my vision actually come to life in front of me.

If any of you are interested in the games I create and ones I will be making in the future, you can follow me on my game dev Instagram account @lukecolesgames

Thank you for all these years of following my work, I appreciate all of your support. Here's to whatever the future brings. : )

@Elementman66 @Elementman66 It sounds like to me that you're going through a case of burnout syndrome. I should know because the same thing actually happened to me and I'm still recovering from it after three years. This usually happens after going through a long period of stress, resulting in you to feel numb or disinterested in the things that used to be fun for you. It's nice to hear that you found a new hobby in game development. If anything, that should come in handy for you when it comes to regaining your creative spark. Though I must add that it might take time for you to recover, depending on the severity that is. All and all, wish you luck and take care of yourself!

@Elementman66 I will look forward to your return to wattpad if it still exists when you choose to come back, the broken skies story I by far the longest series I've read so far and the story had its deeply emotional moments that dang near made me cry. Your writing is amazing and I hope to see more of it later into the future
