I've recently finished the AoT anime, and read the manga summaries for the remaining chapters, so naturally I decided to check out some fanfics. Somebody tell me why every single fanfic I've come across has the MC be either a titan, an Ackerman, Eren's childhood friend, or someone with royal blood? It gets so old, almost every y/n or oc is a titan, they're always overpowered and top of the class or something. Why??? I want to read something more original. There are a few fics I genuinely enjoyed, and it's not like I can come up with a more creative backstory myself, but I'd really like to read a good fanfic with a different backstory. Someone give me recommendations. Please.
