          Why do people when making bnha fics just have a doctor tell them what the quirk is that's just lazy. That's like going to the doctor and they just tell you out right "ok Timmy you have the ability to fly. Of course you can make a barrier between the air and you keeping you nice and snazzy when you stop flying"
          
          No over time you would slowly learn about your quirk. From the mechanics to the drawbacks, the doctor can tell you all this shit. 
          
          People can be really lazy when writing  quirk discovery scenes.
          
          Like maybe do something like 'timmy woke up early and he was jumping with excitement, he was FOUR!!! That means he'll get his quirk now. Timmy was so exited that he accidentally slipped while running down the stairs. 'holy Chester cheese!' he thought as he started free falling towards the tiled floor. Covering his face and closing his eyes in anticipation Timmy only had time to file a mental complaint about not wanting to hit the floor before he hit the cold hard relentless floor, just waiting for the waves of pain to rush over him he grimaced. Wait...there's no pain, cautiously Timmy opened his eyes to see the ground, only he wasn't standing on it, panicking he let out a scream. There was a clatter from the kitchen as his parents dropped what they were doing to check what was wrong'
          
          Something like that you can't say that your bad at writing and just have a doctor give  full on report detailing every nook and cranny in a quirk. Because that shits just you being lazy, the doctor is more likely to be vague pointing out surface level thing about the quirk like ' it seems to provide little Timmy the ability to fly' and might give a few vague observations about the drawbacks not a full on essay.
