I first encountered That the Final Rose at 21, and now, nearly a decade later at 30, I’ve returned to it. Revisiting the story has been both nostalgic and illuminating like opening a time capsule of my younger self and the emotions I carried then. The characters still resonate with me, especially Nokomis, whose presence lingers long after the final page. Thank you for shaping a part of my early twenties and for quietly accompanying me through the unfolding of my own queer journey.

Hi
I’m sharing my story The Weight of Quiet chapter by chapter. It’s a piece of me, and I’d be so grateful if you gave it a read. Leave a comment, even just to say hi, and vote if you’d like to see where it goes next. Your support really does keep the words flowing.
