@Elizabeth721682 Oh wow, thank you so much! This is such a wonderful compliment—especially the part when you said them being together still felt right even though it also felt right they weren't together initially.

@SM-Jacqueline I actually loved it ending as not a romance, it's not a typical romance story but I don't think it's very fun to 1. Be spoiled about if it is a typical romance story and 2. For every book to follow to same guidelines. I think the original ending of them not ever ending up together is what made it special, it's kinda like that feeling of when an character in a movie or show makes you so angry you hate them, you hate them BECAUSE they did so good. So you hate this story (not really) because it evoked so much emotion and power, not cause it was bad, it just felt too real which is fair to actually not like but I think most people misconstrued their sadness at the entire thing for anger/hate for the ending. I was sad but after I sat with it for a bit, them not ending up together felt right. Like they both deserved fresh starts with someone else, but I will say you did amazingly well with bringing them back to a point where the alt endings still made sense and didn't feel wrong

@Elizabeth721682 Thanks so much for this fun question!! I've been thinking about it in the background for most of the day... To be HONEST, I think the original ending is actually the "real" ending. I say this because if I were to try to publish this story elsewhere (not saying I would, but IF), that would be the ending. That said, I'd edit some of the story so that T's actions felt less inconsistent.

I think part of the al endings came from reader dissatisfaction with the original ending and how it's not truly a "romance" because of it. I love seeing your takes on the endings. You make good points! I think I wrote the 5 year jump first, if I recall correctly.
