I'm a new writer, at age 29. I live in the DC area, I love Fantasy and Sci-Fi novels, Stephen King (mostly, not everything; love The Stand, Bag of Bones, The Shining, The Eyes of the Dragon, and On Writing are my top 5), and drawing. Hobbies include kickboxing, as well as archery and sword fighting (using a bokken, not real steel).

I've always loved the above activities - just am hoping it'll make my novels more realistic :) I have a B.A. in Political Science, B.A. in Psychology (double major) as well as an M.A. Psychology (I do not practice, however).

I've had a story in my head that has changed and evolved throughout the years (for about a decade), and I finally decided it WAS good enough to write (I've had a pervasive fear that everything fiction I write will be laughed at and thrown in the trash as ridiculous).

I'm writing a Fantasy Trilogy (I know, how more cliche can you get?). It's character driven, and I really try to get into the heads and psyches of my characters, unlike most Epic Fantasy. I'm on Book 1, tentatively titled Sword of Vengeance, and first draft is at about 122k words. So hoping to cut and pare this down.

I have a clear idea and actual scenes in my head of what will happen in Book 2, but some of Book 3's plot is hazyto me. Hopefully by the time I get to Book 3, I'll have a better idea of how I want to tie up the threads of the story. I know plot-wise, but scenes, I am vague on.
