I found my passion for books when I was seven, walking into Tattle Tales to pick out my first book for my birthday. That is where I fell in love with the engrossing tales written by Brian Jacques. I laughed and cried reading every book, staying up until three in the morning just to finish one. His tales were so rich that I could live in his stories.

I am now twenty seven and I still keep those same books on the shelves of my living room. I want to write stories that give that same incredible feeling. The feeling that once the story is finished, your universe has expanded to include its realm within your thoughts.

The advice I continually give to young writers is this, learn to paint pictures with words. Not just once upon a time, but ... In the long secret dust of ages, beneath a blue forgotten sky, where trade winds caress the sun bleached shores of unknown realms ...
