My ♾️ WIP (Why does this keep coming up?)
... It's been what? Ten years?
I'd read the Lord of the Rings once and watched the brand new Hobbit movies (also once) and decided it would be fun to write a story of my own about Middle Earth. Thus began a saga of writing and rewriting and scraping and starting all over again, trying to get the things in my head out, that's still with me today.
I'm not a writer. I love the idea of writing. I love a fresh new notebook. (Who doesn't?!) but it's never worked out for me. I never go through with getting it down on paper.
Recently I've been enjoying the updates the YouTuber Jill Bearup has been posting about her "Fantasy Heroine" series and her attempts to create an actual novel from the idea. It inspired me to try something a little like it, to put something out there. It's going to be trash most likely but I'm going to try.
Maybe then I can leave this idea/story in peace.
Maybe later I'll add the context of where this idea originated and how much it's developed. For now, let's just say: my original main character was "Elrond's younger daughter Auriel" ♀️ That much I remember and I am not proud, believe me. I am proud of what the story has become, I feel that I will be able to tell a side of a story with minimal input of original characters, and even then they're not unlikely characters. They fit into the world rather well.
