"You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you."

Devotion Title: Ignore what others say"For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after. Jeremiah 30:17"

Devotion : As a child of God you don't live by what you see or what you hear from others. You live by the Word of God in faith (Romans 1:17). The opening Scripture describes two realms: divine realm and temporal realm. No matter what people are saying against you, try to ignore them. They may say you are an outcast, unwanted, rejected, loser, etc., but don't let it have an effect on you. Choose to live in the promises in the Holy Scriptures. The LORD who is mightier than their profane words says He will restore health to you, and He will heal you of your wounds. Hallelujah! The wounds represent your sufferings, challenges, disappointments, pains, failures, debts, unemployment, and embarrassments. He is ready to give strength to your body and heal all those wounds, amen. Devotion Title: Mind Check"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8"

Devotion : The Apostle Paul, with his walk with the Lord Jesus Christ, obtained certain vital keys from the Lord. One of the keys is taking control of your thoughts; hence, he laid down a rule to keep a check on his thoughts. The mind produces both good and evil thoughts and therefore must be checked. Any thought that comes to your mind that has the qualities of truth, honesty, justice, purity, love, good report, virtue, and praiseworthiness are good thoughts and must be retained. All the other thoughts that do not fall in line with truth, honesty, justice, purity, love, good report, virtue, and praiseworthiness must be rejected or deleted. This is so essential because as a Christian, wherever your mind goes, that is where your life will be directed. Dear beloved, what is the need for us to control our thoughts? Share the word.

Devotion Title: Spirit of fear"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7"

Devotion : Fear comes from the devil whilst faith comes from God. The scripture is telling us not to entertain fear in our life. Any time fear wants to show up in you, declare "God has not given me the spirit of fear, I have power, love, and sound mind." As you do that the fear will disappear. Fear creates doubt, anxiety, and panic if entertained. As a Christian, dwell on what you have: power, love, and a sound mind. Dear reader, do you believe you have a sound mind and power over fear? Devotion Title: Showing Kindness"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9"

Devotion : Sometimes, it is human nature to feel tired but when it comes to showing kindness or doing good to one another, the Word of God says we should not be tired or weary. If we become tired of showing one another kindness, meanness will set in and we will begin to hate and backbite one another. This will break the fabric of our Christianity and friendship. Also, we will lose the reward God is preparing for us. Dear reader, do you feel weary in doing well? Share your testimonies here!

“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from my cries of anguish? My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer, by night, but I find no rest. Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One; you are the one Israel praises.” Psalm 22:1-3 (NIV)
