Magick is just creating or strengthening your energy and directing it to where you want it to go. So, yes you can use a neclace of you want to. The importance isn't on the items themselves, those are just a part of ritual. So you really don't need any of the items anyways if you have a good sixth sense, the items are just used to empower you with more energy to use for the spell. It helps you believe that it's working.
