Happy pride month everyone! (p.s I HAVE A NEW CHONI CHAPTER RELEASED) I know this is disgustingly late, but this month has been hugely overwhelming. I would like to remind LGBT+ members about the stonewall riots and that Marsha.P Johnson a BLACK transgender woman was the one who STARTED the riot and fought for our rights. The Stonewall uprising took place in the context of broader civil rights movements. The Revolutionary People's Constitutional Convention in 1970 was a key moment in which activists from Black Power, feminist and gay liberation movements came together. So I would like to remind white LGBT individuals that this isn't a fight you should standby and watch. But it is your place to get involved and us your voices. As a black queer/bisexual girl my heart aches for all the current injustice which is and HAS been occurring in our society to us black people and many other minority group individuals. I am sure all you guys have heard of both Breonna Taylor, George Floyd and many other tragic events in which police officers use unnecessary force to MURDER thousands of black individuals. I am urging you all to do research and educate yourselves on police brutality and overall systemic racism towards black people within modern. I would like to draw your attention to the BlackLivesMatter movement here is a link to many petitions and charities which help the cause: https://blacklivesmatters.carrd.co/
