Hi y'all. It's been quite a long time since I've been active here on Wattpad. It seems I've still got some learning to do as far as navigating everything goes. I'll blame my Wattpad illiteracy on the prolonged denial I've been feeling over inkpop being sold to Figment. Which I realized happened years ago, but I'm honestly forever bummed.
          	
          	I've posted an updated version of Origin's prologue and first chapter. I'm in the process of making a few minor tweaks to chapters two through four, which are the only completed ones thus far. I plan on sharing them as I write in the hopes that it will help me actually finish something (I'm sitting on five partial drafts right now). So please be patient and remember that, aside from minor edits, everything posted for Origin is a first draft. And we all know that first drafts exist to suck, basically. I'm always open to feedback, of course, and I sincerely appreciate any comments.
          	
          	I start graduate school on the 25th, so I'll be relatively silent here from then until the end of September. In the meantime, I plan on writing as much as possible so I can slowly begin sharing my work on a large scale again. It's been a long time and I think I'm ready to dip back in.
          	
          	In addition to updating Origin, I think I'll share a poetry collection sometime within the next two weeks, just in case that appeals to anyone.

I have finally posted the first chapter of Origin. I’m not particularly happy with it, but I’m releasing it anyway so that I may force myself to move forward. The more time I spend tearing apart this one chapter, the less time I have to spend on actually finishing the writing part. Sometimes I suppose you just have to let go and forge ahead, so this is me doing just that in hopes that it will be helpful to the process.
          
          I haven’t written in third person since I was ten and wrote the Milly the Monkey Goes to… series, so Origin is basically me experimenting with that. I definitely prefer first person, but when I tried converting the first chapter into first person narration, it didn’t feel right. So for now, it shall stay as is.
          
          Also, I'm still kind of trying how to figure this site out since I'm not an entirely web-savvy person, so I'm sorry if any comments go unnoticed. Hey everyone!  I'm just sort of testing out the broadcasting thing right now (which I love the idea... totally wish inkpop had this), since I haven't really explored Wattpad yet.  My spring break begins on March tenth, so that's when I'll really dig into this site and probably post some pieces.
