Being an author is preparing to go to bed, thinking about a plot point, suddenly realising a character would make a completely different choice, and that creates a whole lot of believability problems, before finding an amazing solution that solves other plotpoints as well, and having to write this down, before realising there's another major plot issue of a character being in two places at once, moving chapters around endlessly before realising it still works where it was before if you make that section be a lot shorter in reality than already planned and then you're finally happy but it's half an hour later and you're awake again.
          
          
          
          In completely unrelated news, I'm gonna be playing solitaire for the next half an hour trying to get tired and sleep while trying not to think about Operation: Vengeance again
