I am an author who self published under the pen name Eme' Savage. I have the first draft of my second book completed in my fantasy trilogy The Genesis Chronicles. I also write for Examiner.com and CBS.local.com with three columns. One is a Chicago Civil Rights column. The second is a national Civil Rights Column. The third is a Detroit Entertainment Column. All are under my name Marci Savage. One of my articles was a finalist in the America Inspires Contest on Examiner.com.

I wish this site had been in existence years ago when I was writing my first book. I'm very excited to see how the process works. I also love to mentor other writers. Having the opportunity to do that in an online setting is fantastic. I'm very excited to see what other writers are doing.

I've been an expert quilt teacher, a financial planner, a business owner, an executive director of a disability advocacy organization, and now a published author and columnist. My hobbies include stormchasing, hiking, travel, and social activism. I don't lead a boring life and there is very little that is conventional about me. It makes for interesting experiences and that goes into my writing.

I've also been struck by lightning. That is not a figure of speech. It actually happened.... on my birthday. Unfortunately I did not receive any super powers to my deep disappointment. I do have a couple super powers: Common Sense and Will Power. I use them to my advantage whenever possible.
