little story (this takes place before An Indirect Kiss):
"Onyx, don't get close to that thing!" Emerald yelled at the Gem fighting a monster with blades for arms. everything was going well, until the monster thrusted a blade into Onyx's Gem. "Onyx no!!!" Emerald cried. Onyx fell to her knees, Emerald death glared the monster and her, Aquamarine, Bloodstone, and Spinel charged at it and struck it all at once. the monster poofed and it's Gem fell onto the grass. Emerald turned to Onyx and sat in front of her. "Onyx, are you ok??" she asked, Onyx showed her the Gem, it was cracked. and Onyx's eyes were entirely black. "W-what do I do, Emerald?" Onyx asked shakily, Emerald sighed. "there is a sanctuary that belonged to a Gem named Rose Quartz. it has a fountain that can heal cracked Gems. go there and heal your Gem." Emerald answered. Onyx nodded and ran off to find the sanctuary. once she got there, the place was beautiful...and pink. she walked around looking for the fountain, but she tripped and fell. her palm made contact with the ground, and dark brambles started to grow out of the ground. Onyx gasped, as more started started to grow. she ran as fast as she could until she spotted the fountain, she rushed towards it and splashed some water on her Gem. it was healed. she ran away as the brambles were growing everywhere. and eventually brambles were covering the entire place, and the fountain stopped flowing.
