I used to give people my whole heart
          	without hesitation.
          	No questions.
          	No walls.
          	
          	Now I pause.
          	Now I think.
          	Now I wonder
          	if kindness is real
          	or just temporary.
          	
          	Sometimes I whisper to myself,
