Emily Stanis was born on September 7th, 2001. Emily was born to an Irish Polish family. Emily is the middle child with an older sister, Katie, and a younger sister, Molly. Katie has recently moved out, but still keeps in touch a good amount. Molly and Emily are close, typically playing jokes on each other. This effects her writing because she her family has always been involved in her life. Therefore, when Emily writes about families they are typically very functional.
Emily was raised to look at the grey areas of life. She was told to look into both sides and try to find a middle ground in life. Sometimes no matter what you do someone will be hurt. She incorporates this into her writing because these are things her characters often face. There isn't a clear good guy or a clear bad guy when she writes. Everything is somewhat blurred in the middle. Those are the stories that Emily finds so interesting, that is why she writes about them.
Emily has a very small writers history. She has wrote very few things but she mostly sticks with short stories. She occasionally writes poems. Emily does have a novel she works on in her free time. She's trying her best to keep up with it.
The author's voice Emily created with herself is not very unique. She typically writes in short sentences, but she will write in long sentences to push a point she's trying to make. Emily uses sarcasm a lot in her writing. She will occasionally break the fourth wall, but only when it won't disrupt the flow of the story. Emily really likes to use satire in her work to. She finds satirical things to be hilarious.
