I think a lot of writing poetry for me is more about trying new things, seeing what works and what doesn't, rather than just publishing simple, standard poems. Maybe some dont, maybe I get lucky and they do? The whole point of this is to make myself uncomfortable and stretch myself with my language.
That being said, one of my recent poems is kinda sexual and it makes me laugh. Maybe it's dumb, I don't know, but I tried it. Happy reading!
