Author's Note:-
Why Is it always that Men/boys idolise the Goddess/deity as mother figures and never as wife or girlfriend whereas Women/girls idolise male God as Father figure or husband figure?
I've been thinking deeply about this perception lately. 'Cause Damn! Girls respect their fathers and husbands equally. Maybe that's why they can idolise both males in her life. In fact, Women end up considering their fathers and husbands everything in their lives.
Whereas, most of the boys/men in our society idolise mother as goddess or Goddess as mother, and that's the reason for them respecting mother comes eventually whereas respecting their wives is uncomfort or maybe a taboo in societies for which all of these harrasment, domestic violence cases happen. Don't you think so? If men start idolising wives as Goddesses, Goddesses as wife figures and respecting them equally, won't it be much better?
Some talk about sanctity or sacred bond between mother and son when they talk about Men idolising Goddesses as mother. In that case, are girls wrong when they idolise God as father or husband, would it taint their faith or character then?
The thought crossed my brain when I was writing about Tristan's point of view, where he idolises Aarna as a Goddess. The respect, love and care for her develop eventually inside him. She's his wife, and in this manifestation of Patriarchal society, no man would ever think of their wife as Goddess and the day they start doing it, our society would become a lot better for homemakers or every other woman who is a wife to someone.
What do you think?
Let me know.
