Hi Emily. I saw your comment in the story Help about God and learning how to be closer to Him. I’m not sure if the other person ever responded to you but I’ll very happily answer any questions you may have. About getting closer to God, the first thing to do is simply read the Bible. If you don’t own one yourself I do recommend getting your hands on one. Most churches have copies they give out to. Start in the New Testament with Jesus’ words and teachings. Also find yourself a church. Having a committed group of believers around you is powerful. They will encourage you and will walk with you (physically and spiritually). Churches are run by people so if you don’t feel comfortable then just find another. God doesn’t care about buildings or denominations.
