Two more Chapters to go! I have finished the book. Working on edits before posting the last two chapters, but they will be up in the next few days. 
          
          I'll be doing an edit rewrite and then sending to my editor in August. I'll also be revealing the cover next month.  I'm hoping to release the book for sale in September on Amazon.

@TrineTandberg  haha! Yes! And thank you. You had am actually laughing out loud! 
            I have a 12 yr old and an 8 yr and I'm drawing in from their personalities.  I don't think I could pull this off otherwise. Because the attitudes of Tayla and Kyle are the same attitudes of my own children. 
            When I write, I'm trying to get in the mind of Tayla. 
            And you're right, writing to keep in the mind of a child, is hard!

You know, your storytelling technique is very good, but I also know that writing in a naive child perspective takes its toll on the writer, so Yeah I really like it. I hate reading stories where five years olds sound like they are 30

@TrineTandberg  I feel you! 
            I went to collage to study journalism. Never finished, found a hubby and had babies. haha! Another story for another time. 
            Anyway, I too, feel the same. My current series; I was stagnant with book 4. I could not write, could not think.
            That's when I decided to write The Fairy Mermaid, for my daughter. Make the theme have a "current times" vibe. Our children are resilient and know more than we think, I came to realize. I'm quickly finding out adults like this story too. 
            With current times, it appears, people hunger for "feel good," stories, and are tired of chaos.

The Fairy Mermaid  and the Crystal Key was an idea that came from my 8 yr old daughter. She wanted me to write a book about fairies and mermaids. That is how The Fairy Mermaid came to be. 
          She has waited almost 3 years for me to write this story. My goal is to have it ready by Christmas. 
          I'll be posting a chapter a week-- might be more some days, until it's finished. 
          I hope you enjoy reading and taking this journey with me.

I am taking a summer break so I will not be as focused on Gothic Short Stories or the The Fairy Mermaid and the Crystal Key. 
            I must work on my 4th book Wynter's Fury. It's due  in with the editor by august 1st.  Books 1- 3 are available on Amazon if you would like to read what the story is about.
