Hey little birdies...
Just a quick update to let you all know that Saints of Retribution MC: Priest is now officially available on Kindle Unlimited!
I scoured the internet as thoroughly as I could to track down stolen copies, filed DMCA takedown notices, and did everything within my power to make sure I was in compliance with Kindle Unlimited’s ninety-day exclusivity rule. So now I finally feel comfortable enough to say... it is live and ready to go.
So for all of you who prefer reading through Kindle Unlimited, go ahead and run and grab it!
I truly hope you enjoy Priest and Blue’s story. And if you do, please do not forget to leave a review and let me know what you think. Reviews mean so much, and they help more than you know.
Happy reading today, tomorrow, and always, my friends.

@lconedy I am just getting ready to start revising Deacon, but seeing as I go back to work in a month I am not rushing myself. I will do my best to get it out as soon as possible but I want to put out the best version of it possible.

The countdown is on, little birdies.
Priest and Deacon will be coming down from WordPress soon, and I wanted to give everyone one more reminder before the nest door closes on this limited-time sneak peek.
After a lot of research and careful thought, I have decided to try putting Priest into Kindle Unlimited. Because of that, he will have to be removed from Wattpad and Patreon, which means the only place to read Priest going forward will be Amazon.
Deacon is also getting ready for his journey to Amazon. His revisions will be starting soon, and once he is polished and prepared, he will be released there as well. If you want early access to Deacon, or if you want to read the first version before changes are made for the Amazon copy, the only place to do that will be my Patreon.
I will continue sharing teaser chapters of Ink on WordPress, but the full books and earliest access will remain on Patreon.
As always, thank you for your support, your love, your comments, and your excitement. Without all of you wanting to read about these imperfect, stubborn, emotionally chaotic men, there would be no Saints of Retribution.
Thank you for riding with me. ️

Hey little birdies...
Just a quick reminder that you have just under two days left to join my Facebook Readers Group if you want the chance to read both Priest and Deacon for free before I pull them down from WordPress.
This is my little thank-you to loyal readers before those pages are locked down, so if you’ve been thinking about joining, now is definitely the time. Once they come down, they will no longer be available there.
I’ll drop the link to the journal post below so you can read all the details. Hope to see some new little birdies in the group before time runs out.

Hey little birdies...
AHHH!!! My e-book is officially LIVE on Amazon!!!!!
I honestly do not even know what to do with myself right now. I am so excited, so emotional, and a little bit in shock that this is real.
PRIEST is live. On Amazon.
My book. My words. My story. Out there in the world.
The paperback was accepted too, but it will take about three to five days before it shows in stock since it still has to be printed.
But still...
OMG. I am a published author.
That feels absolutely unreal to say.
Thank you all so much for supporting me, encouraging me, cheering me on, and helping me believe I could actually do this. I would not be here without all of you. Truly.
I’m just sitting here grinning like a lunatic and trying not to cry into my coffee.
Thank you for taking this journey with me.
Love,
EmptyNestWriter/D.D. Joaquin

Hello, my little birdies!
I wanted to give you all a quick update. Priest has officially been edited, revised, uploaded, and sent off to Amazon!
Now I am waiting for it to go through the review process to see if I did everything correctly and if Amazon approves it. That can take up to 72 hours, so I am currently sitting here crossing my fingers, saying my prayers, and trying not to refresh everything like a raccoon with Wi-Fi.
I will let you all know as soon as I hear anything!
Also, Deacon is finished and now for sale on my Patreon. You do not have to be a subscriber to purchase the book. So if you want an early release copy before I go through the whole editing, revising, formatting, and Amazon process again, that is your best chance to get it early.
Thank you all so much for your support, encouragement, comments, and patience. Priest would not be heading to Amazon without all of you cheering me on along the way.
Happy reading today, tomorrow, and always, my friends!

@EmptyNestWriter Well done for protecting yourself and your work and to hell with the negative Nellie’s. Can’t wait to start collecting your books on Amazon. Your story telling is phenomenal ❤️

Love your stories but will just wait to get them on Kindle as I hate Patreon, just does not work for me. I think it is one of the most awkward sites to navigate as a reader. Best of luck with your release on Kindle.

@Kiedanli There is not that big of an age gap between my siblings and myself but close! My youngest two siblings are only eight and six years older than my oldest son. So they grew up together. Now my grandbabies and my nieces and nephew are all the same ages, literally. Two of my grandsons and my niece and nephew were all born the same summer within weeks of each other. My one grandson and my niece (goddaughter) were born the same day, six hours apart from each other! They all also have names that start with the letter E, so we call them the four E's sometimes my husband just refers to them as E1, E2, E2, E3 and E4 in their birth order! LOL. When I first married my husband I had a very small family here in the US. My mom's side (the Irish side) was all mostly gone and passed away. My dad's side was all mostly in Mexico. My husband had a huge family. Now since I have had children, my children have had children and now my little brothers have had children we are huge. Our family holidays are so loud now with the kids outnumbering us we can hardly hear ourselves talk, let alone think! But I love it!

@EmptyNestWriter Yeah I get the being used to having family around. I am Scottish and the youngest of 10 and actually had siblings already married with children when I was born. Keeping track at Christmas can be challenging

Hey everyone,
Just a quick update on Deacon and Priest.
Deacon is officially finished being written and is almost finished being posted on Patreon. There are only five chapters left to post there, and once those are up, Deacon will be available for sale the same way Priest is. Priest is $6 USD, and Deacon will be the same. I probably won't be updating any more chapters of Deacon here, but as I start Ink and Evan's story next I will start publishing some of their chapters alongside the chapters I post on my Patreon.
I am also still working on formatting Priest for Amazon. After doing some research, I found out I will not be able to put it on Kindle Unlimited. Because I have already been selling it on my own site, KU is too risky. KU requires a 90-day exclusivity contract, and if a copy of Priest were found elsewhere online, it could put that contract, and my Amazon account, at risk. I’m not willing to gamble with a legal contract.
I know that may disappoint some readers. I completely understand, especially because I’m a KU reader too. But I’m not willing to risk losing my Amazon account over it. If that means some people choose not to purchase it, I do understand.
I have also been reworking some of Priest. When I first wrote it, I had only been writing for about five months, and some of the criticism I received here, especially about chapter four with Harper and Blue, pointed out areas I agreed needed improvement.
My Heart of the Nest tier members on Patreon are able to read those revised chapters under Priest 2.0 and see the changes. So far, chapters one through four have been updated. The overall plot is still the same, but the dialogue, flow, and layout have been enhanced.
Thank you all for continuing to read and support my work. I appreciate it so much.

@EmptyNestWriter I should mention that even some trad pub authors have their books in Kobo Plus... Ilona Andrews, Jeaniene Frost, Christine Feehan, Sherrilyn Kenyon, to name a few.

@EmptyNestWriter Kobo is an e-book platform similar to Kindle. They sell e-readers, too, but I just read through an app on my phone. A lot of authors that don't want to be tied to KU, or have left the Zon altogether, have their books on Kobo. Like the Zon, they give you the option to just sell the e-book, or have it available in their subscription service, Kobo Plus. For example, in the genre that you write in (MC), you will find that Christine Michelle/Anne Storm and Lani Lynn Vale have their books on Kobo Plus. Finally, my understanding is that Kobo Plus pays its authors a lot more than the Zon does.
