PART 1 OF 3
Ok so this is going to be slightly a word vomit, but I just finished reading an all time literature classic: Frankenstein. And it is EXTREMELY well written aaaaaand relevant to today! Spoiler alert for the book: but I think these are important thoughts to bring forward:
First off, the Creature, not Frankenstein, is the name of the "monster" that Frankenstein, the human, built. The Creature was ultimately the embodiment of the simplest of human needs: shelter, food, and water, of course, but also love and companionship. That was the sole motive for him when trying to interact with people or ask Frankenstein for a companion, before Frankenstein betrayed him for a second time. Frankenstein was the embodiment of humanity constantly trying to outdo itself and advance further in knowledge and technology, and this was the ruin of him. He left all of his friends and family behind when building the Creature, preferring to work in solitude, but this basically resulted in him becoming crazy and irrational. If from the beginning he understood the Creature's, and humanity's, true needs and been truly aware of himself and his surroundings, he could have stopped the death of his family before it was even a possibility. All we really need is companionship and to be accepted.
