@EnNnNnNnNnMmM You're welcome :) I think the reason most parents don't listen when their child tells them there might be something going on with them is because the parent sees it as "there's something wrong with my child" and that mentality is heartbreaking. And by thinking like that, they are hurting their child more by ignoring them and "seeing if the signs go away." It doesn't work like that.
I knew from the moment my son was born that he was different, like mother's intuition. Sure enough, he didn't talk until he was over 3 years old, and then we had him tested to find out he is autistic. I didn't get upset because I finally had an answer as to why he did or didn't do some things, and that just opened up doors for all kinds of help.
One of my brothers is autistic as well, but he didn't get tested until he was 18.
If you feel like you're alone in all of this, I am truly sorry, and I wish I could be there to help take care of you. You may have to document things just to get a point across or just because you'll want something to go off of when or if you're able to get tested. I truly hope you're able to talk with someone to get the help you need, even if it's just for a simple conversation.
I will be here to listen if you need someone to talk to or just to vent. I may not get back in a swift manner, but I will try my best to get back to you as quickly as possible.
And in case no one has told you today- Your feelings are valid
You are worthy
You are loved
