Sometimes I think I added too many ocs to The Darkness Within because I am struggling so bad to include them all into every chapter rn. I LOVE this fic so much but writing it feels like such a chore sometimes because of how many effort I have to put into including all of the ocs.
Like, I'm working on chapter 64 right now which takes place during Ingrid's shattered sight curse and I have zero idea on what to do with any of my ocs other than Lily. I have no idea how/if I want to include them in this chapter. If I wasn't so late into the game with this fic, I'd unpublish and rewrite with only Lily, Lorelai and Evander. I wouldn't include Alice, Ophelia, Adrienne, Fallon because I feel like nothing makes sense whenever I include them in fics. I love them as characters and they all have real potential if they were in the right fic, but I don't know if TDW is the right fic for them.
It's currently 1:11pm for me right now. I've been trying to work on this new chapter since 10:00am and I have 297 words written. I've been going back and for to it for 3 hours now, and I'm just not enjoying it as much as I would writing for another of my fics purely down to it no longer feeling like a fun hobby. I end up hating most of the scenes I write now, and I don't feel like I'm putting my best effort into it. I'm publishing badly written scenes just to include ocs I don't want to write anymore.
I've felt like this for a while now, I just didn't want to say anything due to how many everyone loves that story.
Now, I'm stuck between unpublishing and rewriting each chapter to republish later on. OR discontinuing the og fic but leaving it up for people to read anyway, and then rewriting the story as a brand new fic (with the same title). IF I did this, I could potentially start from season one too. I personally think it would be interesting to see Lily in Storybrooke because the original curse was broken.
Someone please send help so I can figure out what to do! *insert crying emoji*
