You know what I'm most scared about authors writing a wonderful good story, is the fear of it being abandon, while people out there are still reading it and waiting for the next chapter to be release. I've already seen something like this on the Fanfiction App. As soon as I find something good to read, it's most likely had been dropped or abandoned for like 2-5 years.
They probably are just super busy, or they forgot about the story they've written. Maybe, they got a job and now they're focused on doing that job, that they don't have time to write the story again and eventually forgetting it.
At the end of the day, I can't blame them. I'm just thankful that they've made a story that I adore. It still hurts seeing "Last updated 2015" "Last updated 2014"
You know that the story won't get updated again, or maybe even forever, but you're still hoping for it, looking for that glimpse of hope to spark....
Please if you're an author and you've written a story that's been abandoned for like 5 years or so, pls just let the audience know if you're done with it. Don't make us hope something that will never happen, or maybe you could update the story again and make a comeback, but I know it's hard and weird to write the story you've produced that got abandoned for 5 years. The fact that you don't know what to write nor remember what your story is all about is too much of a hassle.
Still you can try. I'm not forcing you to do it. You can always disregard my opinion. Holy crap, this was too long. I'm gonna end this right here, but lastly I wanna bid my farewell.
