Hi, I'm Gabriel Cordero, the author of Endless Yume (Endless Dream) and I want to tell you why I made the story.
I was born in the Dominican Republic on December 26, 2001 and I am currently 20 years old. Approximately 2 years ago I came to live in the United States and when I arrived I went through the worst moment of my life, I had to leave everything that was important to me behind like my friends, my family and my girlfriend. When I arrived, I not only went through the typical difficulties like having to learn the language since I barely knew a few words in English or having to work in a job that I didn't like, those were difficulties but the worst of all and which really affected me was to have left what mattered to me behind.
Having to adjust and stop living in the past was hard for me, but in the end I was able to move on and make a new life just like Jake did at the end of the book. It was such a change in my life that I not only made new friends, went to college, cured my depression, but also met my current girlfriend.
My story is the reason why I wrote Endless Yume(Endless Dream) , I wrote the story I needed to read when I was going through the most difficult time of my life and that's why I am totally sure that Endless Yume can change lives, especially if that person is going through a difficult time.
Writing the story was a challenge in itself and it took me almost a year of persistence and hard work and I even thought that I would not make it, but in the end I achieved my goal and today I can proudly say that my life's project is complete.
