Not me being months late and only just finding your account now crying. 

hi y’all, just wanted to announce i’m deleting wattpad soon. i started this account when i was a very early teen just coming into my autistic identity, and a lot of my writing style from back then doesn’t sit right with me anymore. i think it reflects where i was and my view of the world at a particular stage in time, and while i don’t regret putting my ill-formed musings on here 4 years ago, it’s honestly very cringeworthy now and i need to have a degree of separation from it. the original autistic wattpad community that i… grew up on, i guess, has also gradually dissipated with time. i guess i’ve been nostalgic for Old Wattpad, when it was just the six or seven of us earnest autistics (in a sea of horny fanfic writers lol), starting cyclical comment threads on @misslunarose’s stories and calling out ableist trolls and supporting each other through tough times. most of those accs are inactive now, their stories long deleted or comments long unresponded to.
          
          i can keep the memes up if y’all want, since i don’t necessarily regret anything i wrote there and think they served the purpose i wanted them to- many of you resonate with them deeply and they’ve provided my audience of autistic youth with a sense of community membership they might not have had before. but i’ll be deleting all my other stories and basically becoming inactive on here. i have truly enjoyed the time i have spent in this community and i’m saddened to leave it.

I love how your profile said that you look autistic, but I'm really curious as to how that looks now. I'm imagining some allistic person who's convinced that autistic people are actually walking puzzle pieces. Not that I support Autism Speaks (and apparently needs to be silenced as a result). While I'm talking about A$ and puzzle pieces, can we talk about how ugly most "autism awareness" puzzle piece symbols are because the designers apparently have no grasp on complementary colors? Sorry for the ramble.
