Nearly in my 40s. Twelve years into a marriage that's mostly survived, thanks in part to four dogs who behave as though they own the place.
I've been published for my work in mental health advocacy and speak internationally on trauma, trauma disorders, and OCD. Life has also taught me lessons the hard way-years spent navigating severe chronic illness, including Brittle Type 1 Diabetes, with far too many hospital rooms marking the passage of time.
I notice patterns. Small inconsistencies. Things that don't resolve on first inspection. That curiosity extends to my stories-psychological, quiet, sometimes unsettling-where what isn't said often matters more than what is, and characters notice more than they should, even when they pretend they don't.
I write to explore that edge: the space between control and chaos, perception and reality, the ordinary and the unknowable.
