@TerryP It really is an intriguing story; one which challenges the idea of love. I am no where near the end of the story but I see how love has the power to forgive and heal and transform a person. Thank you for sharing you experience so vividly in this story.

I was a Peace Corps teacher at Holy Cross Mission years ago and fell in love.

A Girl Redeemed begins with Lisa's early life and goes into detail about her struggle for self-respect and her profound effect on everyone her life touches--especially David.

@ErrrKhyana Thank you so much for voting for my story Songs for Tamar.

I have stayed close to the life of King David of Israel some three thousand years ago.

Tamar was real, the lovely daughter of King David, but her innocence was taken by her half brother Amnon, the king's oldest son.

While I could not avoid portraying what he did to her, I provided her someone who loves her.

The real Absalom was indeed enigmatic and every bit as rebellious to his father's rule.

I was pleased to show a tender side of Absalom toward those he loved. So I portray Absalom as a loving husband to two lovely widows.

He indeed loved his sister Tamar and named his own daughter after her.

I hope Tamar's real life was fulfilling.
