@ScribbleYourThoughts facing the same situation here. My new job is boiling me alive tbh. By the time I stumble home, I can barely find the energy to write. But then I look back at my old works...and try to encourage myself to write again. So yep... tough times !!!   (ಥ⁠‿⁠ಥ)

@EternalSu Hiii. Things have been so hectic recently, and I've written a lot less than I wanted to last year. I even thought of stopping for a while, cause ca doesn't allow you too much time for anything, but I've missed writing so much that I decided to keep going. Soo, yeah. How'd it been for you?

@sharmee_m ooooh, I like the cycling metaphor. And speaking of the impostor syndrome thingy you mentioned, honestly, I have it too. But then I think, so what? What if I really am an imposter? I'm just here to make imaginary little folks in my head and put them in stories in an imaginary land. When I compare writing to how kids play make believe stories, it doesn't feel that scary anymore. That's why after my first book I dived into exploring new corners, albeit in smaller word counts. Here's my (extremely gentle) push to prove you wrong.

@sharmee_m aww my darling Su!! Adulthood is attempting to knock you down a few pegs gosh. I have been in this sitch since like last 4 yrs!! (Spoiler alert: It has ups and downs, but it gets better). I am well aware how the work load and pressure leave next to no room for any creative spark, and it's extremely difficult to get anything out since your mind and body are already so exhausted. Hang in there, girl. You've GOT THIS!!
            
            I feel like the art of writing is exactly opposite to cycling (hope someone proves me wrong) because I have tried to sit and jot some ideas and character interactions, but it feels like what I had once for like a year, has left me. I wish it were cycling tho, you pick up a cycle anytime, after 'n' number of years and you can ride it nevertheless. 
            Here's to hoping that you find your writing and doodling back like picking up a cycle and pedaling away, whistling down familiar alleys. 
            
            And yes, I have my pinterest account but I think I have been using a different one on my laptop. Let me try checking my old one, I'll message you. My usage is very less, sadly. But thanks for the idea.
            Again, I'm sorry for being AWOL. I should keep checking on you and my sweet friends here, but truly this app feels light years away, something from the past and out of reach with a pinch of impostor syndrome.
            Also I like the term, 'analysis paralysis' -- naturally gonna steal it. ♥️♥️

@sharmee_m okay....so here's the thing. I'm in a sort of transitional period in my life. Hung up between whether to keep my current job or to join a new one I'm offered. Decision fatigue. Analysis paralysis. All that adulthood jazz. Work pressure is all time high, and it's been a while since I've had the chance to relax enough to get into a new book. Or consistently working on my own ideas. So yep, while I've heard about those books, I haven't read them. But seeing how my characters still hold a place in your heart, especially Xenro... it means so much to me. And when you say...I miss the writer in me....damn. I can relate. Life is cooking me so hard I actually miss those times when I could sit down at the end of the day and just dive into my fictional worlds. The words just flowed. Characters came alive. I drew in my sketchbook for hours. It was a simpler time back then. I must admit I AM treading through that dreaded creative block fog you just mentioned.   It's been some time since I've published anything here, but I am still working on a story. Putting one word after another. Word by word. Brick by brick. (Hehe, get it?? (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠))
            So here I am, clawing my way through the fog (so yep, this story I'm working on has a darker vibe because of that). And I hope to finish it soon ❤️
            
            I imagine you have been experiencing something similar too.  Therefore I also want to encourage you to pick up the pen again. Please. Keep writing. Even if the words don't flow the way they used to. Even though it feels like the 'writer you' is lost. Because she isn't. She's right inside you, waiting. See that's the thing about creativity, it never leaves you. Life happens and it sometimes gets buried under noise and chaos, but it's still there.
