The setting was a city, cold, seemingly desolate. It was calm, almost too calm, even for a city at such a time in the p.m. No street lights illuminated the night, and no apartment or store let the lights pollute the streets.
The sky was layered in thick, black, angry clouds that raged on in a storm of thunder and acidic rain, strong enough to obscure ones view of the land at the moment. It was almost settling, the sight of a seemingly dead city.

But the further you walked, the less setteling it would become, as vehicle's seemed to gain more and more damage, some completely totaled, some left hesitantly in the middle of the streets, and some with what could definitely be confirmed as bodies, crushed beyond refuge, with streams of blood leeking from cracks and crevices and pooling to the ground only to be washed away by the rain. The city really was, very litterally dead.

Bodies began to gain in number, streets color seemed to be matted with such thick but vibrant reds that it was almost seemingly painted that way, and then came a feeling; a gut wrenching feeling, and standing straight ahead of you was a creature, undoubtedly inhuman. It stood still as a statue in the middle of the streets, black eyes staring unwaveringly upon you. Behind it was a bird. A massive, alien looking, black coloured bird who stood behind the pale, blood covered being, at about sixteen feet. Its head turned, red orbed eyes staring you down, before the long black beak parted, letting free an aggressive, loud and wretched screach.
