PSA: If I see one more comment making fun of legal term/ other languages in the comments of my fics I will not hesitate to pull every single one of my fics off wattpad (this includes "The Laws Regarding Attraction", "The Sun Who Proposed to The Moon", and "Eyes of Amber, Hands of Gold")
Me and my beta reader did NOT make sure every French and Mandarin was right, glossing through legal terms, only for anyone to make fun of it.
I make this these for free, out of the limited time and energy that I have; I do not expect to get praises all the time, but I do expect my readers to behave themselves.
Understand that I am a law student (law school is hard and the work load is many) that I do not need to write these fics or even put a sliver of care into them, but I do. I research everywhere for the little things in the fics, for it to be good.
If you think you are being funny, you are not. Being funny isn't on the expense of anything else; on other people, on other things, on *my* work.
If you don't understand something; open a dictionary. if I don't provide a translation, it is either because the reader wasn't suppose to know and/or it is a literary device.
Do not treat me as someone who will put words into my fics willy nilly. I don't. I care about my work. I treat you all with respect, and because this is my space you are entering, I expect you to treat my works with respect too.
