After 4+ years of absence, I would like to finally announce that 8 more chapters of THE GRANT: AN IT CROWD FANFICTION have been completed and scheduled to release every day this week at 8:00AM CDT, with the final chapter and epilogue releasing on Sunday, September 29. Thank you for everyone who supported this fic throughout its overlong lifespan.
          
          I've done my best to write chapters that stay true to the style of the original while also fitting with where I am now. In the time since this fic has been published, I've graduated from high school, moved cities twice, graduated from college, and begun my MFA in Screenwriting (in case you were wondering why this fic was so heavy on dialogue). Also, today is my four-year anniversary with my favorite standard nerd, so, obviously I've changed and grown a lot in the time since I last updated!
          
          Even though there are obviously a lot of edits I want to make looking back on it now, I think it's best that the original, unfiltered, unedited version of THE GRANT always stays available on Wattpad as a relic for those of you who consistently supported it in its early days and to the end. So it will be here as long as Wattpad exists, hopefully!
          
          It was really important to my self-esteem as a 15-17 year old to read all of your comments which were so overwhelmingly positive, more than this fic deserved, and when I stumbled back onto Wattpad last month after years of inactivity and saw that people were still sort of invested years later, I felt like I owed it to you guys to finally finish. I won't be returning to Wattpad for any new works in the future, but I've been really grateful for the community I've found here. Thank you guys so much, and I hope you enjoy the final chapters of your story!
