Rachel Cole Alves is a character in The Punisher but she didn't come in until way later on. Her character came in after her family was gunned down at her wedding and after she ended up in the hospital. Once she was well enough, she escaped the hospital and goes and finds the gang who killed family. But she doesn't know that Frank/The Punisher is going after them too. Eventually they team up and they kill the gang together. After that, Rachel has been his sidekick ever since.
