Fear keeps us alive, and if it weren't for out fear of death, then we would most likely be dead by now.
Some of us claim to not fear death, but what you're not fearing is dying. Not everyone is afraid of the pain of dying, but everyone is afraid to not see life again, because life is precious, and fear was created as one of the many shields to prevent us from dying soon. Of course, anything good can be used against us, but what matters in this world is intention.
Fear was not intended to hurt you, and you are not intended to do so either.
I just thought I'd say this.
