EverWilde

Hey everyone! I know I broke my promise and did not update Sydney's sins on the weekend but I just finished writing the chapter and I promise it's all you want and more :).
It will be up wither today or tomorrow depending on how busy I am when I get home.

I turned towards the woman talking and was surprised to see the familiar face of the librarian leaning over my shoulder. Her grey hair was cut close against her scalp, almost to the point where I wanted to touch her hair to see if it would be prickly or soft. Her black frame glasses were sitting on top of her head, which I knew was weird for her because she needed those to see. It was a running joke between us that if I kept reading as much as I did I would end up hard of sight just like her. She had always blamed her love of books on her loss of vision. Something about reading in the dark one too many times as a child.

But looking into her eyes, I understood why she might not need her glasses anymore. Her eyes were the colour of the night sky in the country if no stars were present. Her eyes looked like something tangible you could fall into, but if you fell there would be no landing. You would just keep falling and falling for the rest of your life.
