Here’s a summary of the first episode of the owl house:
Luz Noceda is a 14 year old girl who lives in Connecticut. Luz is seen as an outcast amongst her peers. Due to the many outlandish actions she’s taken her mom is pressured into sending her to a summer camp. While waiting for the bus, an owl (later introduced as Owlbert) grabs her book and begins to ‘run’ with it. The owl enters a shack, which happens to be a portal to the demon realm. Luz quickly follows the little guy and ends up in a witch’s stand. At first, she doesn’t believe it. She continues to refer to the woman as another human, but once the woman, Eda, reveals that she is, in fact, a witch Luz becomes excited but also scared. After helping Eda with her sales at her booth, Luz joins Eda and Owlbert to go back to their home. Luz meets Era’s roomate, king, a small demon that likes to thinks he’s mighty. Eda tells Luz of a place in the emperors castle that is locked, only accessible to humans. This is where emperor belos is hiding many of Eda and Kings things. Luz agrees to help them get them back if they help her get home. After Luz helps them and casually frees dozens of prisoners, she decides something. She wishes to stay in the demon realm and learn magic.
